Naxos and Amorgos (Greece), 9-20/09/21
The beauty of a naked body is something undeniable. The way the muscles take shape, how they become more evident when specific poses are taken and when the light hits from different angles, its magical harmony and elegance, how it can look strong and powerful or soft and vulnerable according to the moment.
Lately I found myself very fond of approaching nude photography, and the colours and mythological atmospheres we came across in Naxos served as the perfect background to this purpose. Turquoise water, blue skies, red rocks, white sand, tanned skin.
I am lucky to have someone like Christoph as a model. The awareness he has of his body and the way he can effortlessly use it as a tool to express an emotion is something that pushes me to explore more and more.
We also switched sides and I must admit that taking my clothes off and simply improvising in front of the camera was surprisingly a very liberating experience.
