RIVERS

“Herbst” is a series of portraits of different people, shot this Autumn in several spots of London with the Lomography Petzval lens.

I used not to consider the option to ask somebody I didn’t know well to pose for me.
However, I moved first to Berlin and then to London, and I bumped into countless people with such a unique and different style to leave you speechless and I had to change my mind. Luckily I realized not to be ashamed of asking, as I would have been when I was younger, or neither worried about a negative answer. Worst case scenario it won’t just happen, so what’s there to lose?

That’s how Rivers ended up modelling for me in Camden Town on a very sunny October afternoon.
I didn’t realize how mean I was that day: asking him to pose for the first time in front of the lens of an almost stranger surrounded by a curious crowd of people in one of the most touristic spots of London. Sorry Rivers, even Isabel would have refused! You actually didn’t flinch, acted very natural and ended up doing an awesome job.
