MISS NANNA
“Herbst” is a series of portraits of different people, shot this Autumn in several spots of London with the Lomography Petzval lens.
Very opinionated, self ironic, food lover, extravagance and urban culture enthusiast with a taste for the macabre, this young woman from Piemonte doesn’t take long to tell you things exactly as they are. However, behind the sharp tongue, the countless moans, the “impossible to satisfy” and “what the hell are you talking about?” attitude, Anna hides a very big heart. She’s one of our best friends in London and rightfully part of our family.
It wasn’t the first time I asked Anna to model for me. I was actually very impressed with the previous shots I took of her for her commitment and ability to deliver exactly the mood that I aimed to achieve. On top of this, she’s a master of disguise and loves to play unconventional characters without feeling ashamed or uncomfortable. This short session took place in Hackney and Brick Lane on a very gloomy afternoon.
