Quite a lot has happened since we last saw each other three years ago. While I moved to the UK to start a vet career and had to cope with the struggles of a long distance relationship, Sergio finished his studies in Switzerland and Munich and found a job in a prestigious consulting group in Milan. When he came to visit me and Isa in London few weeks ago, I found a definitely less naive and much more confident version of him. However, those things that made us bond so quickly when we first met through a common friend in Berlin, stayed quite the same and still made it incredibly easy for us to relate to each other. We’re still in love with Berlin and share the same kind of taste in music, vibes, places and people. That’s why I didn’t doubt for a second that the weekend that was ahead of us would have been stellar, especially with hip East London as a playground. What I didn’t know was how much I had missed to hang out with a friend like him.

Note: I’ll prevent myself from trying out films that have been expired for more than 25 years the next time a friend I haven’t seen in ages is around. Love the unpredictability but only up to a point.
